David Martin

Pastor

Pastor Dave became the Senior Pastor of Highland Baptist Church in August 2020. Prior to that, he was the Associate Pastor at Highland. Dave received his BA from Southwestern College in Winfield, KS studying Youth Ministry and Pastoral Studies. He then graduated with his MDIV from Liberty Seminary. Dave was ordained in 2015, was endorsed and became an U.S. Army Reserve Chaplain in 2016. He is married to Gayle Martin, together they have four adult children and three grandchildren

Ward Upham

Elder

Ward became a Christian at age 20 and was active in Campus Crusade for Christ while in college and was later involved with Youth for Christ. He became a member of Highland Baptist Church in 1979 and has been active in teaching ministries since then. At various times, he has taught High School Sunday School, Youth Group, Men’s Group, Life Group and Adult Sunday School Class. Ward has been an elder since the mid-80's and his ministry has been focused on teaching
